Your message so far
I want to write down my memories about ______ so that ______ will have them.
Please interview me. Ask me ONE question at a time and wait for my answer before asking the next. Start with easy, concrete questions — what a room looked like, what something smelled like, who was there — not big questions about what things meant.
After every four or five answers, write up what I've told you as a short piece in my own voice, using my own words and phrases wherever you can. Then keep interviewing.
Do not invent anything. If you need a detail, ask me for it. If I contradict myself, point it out gently.
We may do this over several sittings, so at the end of each one, remind me what we should pick up next time.
