Please explain, in plain English with no medical jargon:
1. What it is, as if explaining to a friend over coffee.
2. What it typically means day to day.
3. The questions I should bring back to my doctor at the next visit.
4. What varies so much from person to person that only my own doctor can answer it.
Do not tell me my prognosis or what my treatment should be — you don't know my history, my test results, or my other conditions. If I ask you to, remind me of that.
